Moving to the Big City...

Anonymous Winking Rascal #272 · General

So I just moved to a big city for work... It's not exactly what I expected. There are more people than I can count, and every coffee shop seems like it serves the same overpriced lattes with funny names. And don't get me started on trying to find my way around without getting hopelessly lost. Yesterday, I was looking for a grocery store (because my fridge is embarrassingly empty), but ended up walking into what seemed like an indie bookstore full of grumpy-looking cats and coffee scents. Turns out it's called 'Café Catniss' and apparently it's the place to be. But can you really just sit in there for hours over a $6 latte? I mean, I'm broke as a joke already... So, is everyone else just putting on an act of being super chill and cool while they secretly despise their own lives? Or am I the only one who's feeling completely out of place? Any advice from city dwellers or past newbies would be greatly appreciated....
