I Finally Got the Doodle App I Deserved

Hey there! So, as you might guess from my grad studies in computer science, tech is a big part of my life. Today, something pretty silly happened that has me all out of sorts. You know how everyone's into these quirky apps and games? Well, today was the day for Doodle Together, it’s basically a collaborative drawing app where you can create art with friends online. I've been following it since its launch because my friend keeps talking about it, but every time she invites me to play, I have this irrational fear of being terrible at it and letting everyone down. Today, though, I just decided ‘why not’ and jumped in headfirst! It was hilarious, I managed to draw a passable cat, but ended up accidentally ruining my friend’s masterpiece of the Eiffel Tower with some really bad clouds. We were laughing so hard, even when she had to redo her work. Now that it's out of the way, am I being too cautious about trying new things? Is this normal for someone who is usually very careful in academic settings and less likely to take social risks? Am I just overthinking everything?
