Why Did I?

So today, I caught myself doing something really weird. I was driving the kids to school and suddenly, out of nowhere, I decided it would be a great idea to start singing the theme song from 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' at the top of my lungs. And not just once or twice, but repeatedly throughout the whole car ride. My kids looked like they were about to crawl out through the windows, and their faces said it all, shock, embarrassment, annoyance. It wasn't even really a guilty pleasure thing; I never thought much of that show beyond its 90s charm. So why did this happen? Was it just because it was one of those random days where I felt like letting go of my grown-up facade and embracing my inner child, or is there something more about how we cling to nostalgia at unexpected times? Maybe I'm just starting to feel a bit old myself and want to relive simpler times. Whatever it was, I promise not to do it again anytime soon.
