Newbie in the Big City

So, I just moved to this big city and it’s kinda overwhelming. First day at work was a disaster, I got lost and ended up being late by like 45 minutes, yeah, totally professional right there. And then today? I accidentally dropped my lunch on myself during our meeting. Not exactly the first impression you’re supposed to make. Anyway, everyone here seems so put together and cool, but really I’m just trying not to melt into a puddle of awkwardness every time someone looks at me. Like, am I the only one who feels this way? Or is it normal for people to pretend they have everything under control when in reality they’re as lost as me? So, confession time: last night, I snuck out of my apartment and got drunk on cheap beer while binge-watching all these Netflix shows about small-town life. It was the only way I could deal with not knowing anyone or feeling like a complete failure for my mishaps. Am I really just overreacting here? Should I give myself more time to adjust, or is it okay to have moments of wanting to go back home and be in my comfort zone again? What’s your advice? Am I just being too hard on myself?
