kids and their weird tastes

my kids are always telling me about all these shows i dont get why they like em its just so much nonsense sometimes but at the same time i know im not the one figuring out what to watch anymore i let them pick half the time even though it makes no sense to me. so should i be more involved or just go with the flow? am i overthinking this whole thing?
