My Secret Hoarding Habit

I recently started organizing my room and came across an old shoebox filled with every receipt from purchases made over a year ago. I didn't realize how much stuff I bought on impulse until seeing the receipts piled up like evidence against me. Why do I feel compelled to hoard these small pieces of paper? Does anyone else keep such meticulous records for no reason?
