Today's Kid Craft Disaster

So today I tried a fun craft with the kids but it ended up being more like a science experiment gone wrong. We were supposed to make tie-dye t-shirts, you know, that simple and classic art project. But when we opened the bottles of fabric dye, one was completely empty! And then there was no way to tell which color was which because they all look alike in their liquid form. So I end up pouring random colors on my shirts. One minute it's blue, next second red... Soon enough, instead of pretty patterns, it looks like a Jackson Pollock painting. And guess what? We forgot that you need rubber gloves for this project, so now both kids have dye-stained fingers and we're scrubbing our hands pink trying to get it off. Oh yeah, and by the end, I think every t-shirt in the house got colored on somehow. But hey, at least they'll never be boring again!
