The Secret Cereal Buffet

So yeah, I work nights in the ER and let me tell you, it's one long stretch. Last week, around 3 AM, I was down to my last box of granola bars but the vending machine is a no-go at that hour. So what do I do? I start snooping through the patient food pantry. You know how they have all those boxes of cereal and juice and stuff for sick kids? Well, there's this one tiny section just for the staff to grab something quick in an emergency, like me. And let me tell you, once I opened that door, oh man! There was Cap'n Crunch, Frosted Flakes, even some nice chocolatey options. It was like hitting the jackpot! So yeah, I help myself to a few bowls and boxes, stuff them into my bag. Now, I know this isn't exactly stealing, I'm still buying my own food and I pay for it, but there's something about raiding that pantry that feels just a little bit naughty. And you know what? If I ever do another all-nighter, I might do the same thing again if I need to. Who needs sleep anyway when you've got cereal? Well, maybe not chocolate milk at 3 AM, but still.
