Feeling Forgotten at Home

Anonymous Shifty Busybody #861 · General

I've been a stay-at-home parent for three years now, and honestly, I feel like the rest of the world has just forgotten about me. The funny thing is, it's not even because I don't want to be found, I love being there for my kids and making our home cozy. But sometimes when I'm out running errands or at school events, seeing everyone talking about work projects or weekend plans, I feel like I'm a ghost. People seem surprised when they find out what I do, as if being a full-time parent isn't real work. It's strange, because deep down, I know how important and impactful this role is. But the feeling of being invisible still stings.
