i feel bad but also vindicated

ok so i have this neighbor kid who is about 16 and has been causing all sorts of problems in our cul-de-sac lately. first it was just loud parties late at night, which annoyed everyone including my kids. then he started parking his car in weird spots blocking people's driveways or street access. finally the straw that broke the camels back was when my 15 year old son and i were having a quiet game night inside while it rained and his music suddenly blasted from outside as loud as possible like he knew we would be here doing something chill and wanted to ruin it. so last week i got fed up with all this crap and decided to take action. i bought some of those spray paint cans that make yellow lines look official, you know for road markings? so i went out late one night when the kid was sure to be home but sleeping like a big baby (i have a way of knowing these things) and sprayed yellow lines all over his lawn where cars should not go. then i painted signs on my own yard that say no parking. the next day everyone is talking about it, people are either giving me the thumbs up or looking confused why my kid can't park but this jerky neighbor's can. now he has moved his car far away and nobody is bothering us anymore with all these issues of him being a nuisance. did i do something wrong by vandalizing another persons property? im feeling kinda bad about it but also like maybe it was the only way to make things better around here. what would you guys do if you were in my shoes
