The Watered Down Whiskey Night

So yeah, there was this night at the bar where I decided to take matters into my own hands. It was one of those slow nights when you just know no one's going to come in and order a round anytime soon. And I've got this particular customer who orders the same whiskey every single time she comes in. You'd think she would notice, but man, let me tell ya... it’s like water off a duck's back for her. Anyway, so here I am, trying to save some of our profit by pouring her what looks exactly like 100-proof Jim Beam, but you know, just a little less. Like, barely noticeable if you didn't have a microscope in your mouth or something. And the funny thing is, she's been coming in for years and has never once complained. I mean, I could totally get caught one day, right? But honestly, who would’ve thought that someone like her wouldn’t notice such a small difference? It’s this weird mixture of feeling guilty but also kinda proud that I can get away with it. I probably shouldn't be so pleased about it, but hey, survival in the bar business is rough sometimes.
