I Accidentally Posted My Artwork Before I Was Ready

So here's the deal: I've been working on this big painting for months. It's my first real attempt at something really large and complex. I was planning to wait until it was completely finished before showing anyone, but one day I just snapped a quick pic of the half-done canvas and shared it on Instagram without thinking twice. Now all these strangers are commenting on stuff that isn't even complete yet, and some people have already given me feedback like it's done. It feels weird, like they're judging my work before I've shown them everything. I'm not sure if it was a mistake to post early or if this is how artists are supposed to share their progress. My friends say I should embrace the chaos and just keep updating until it’s all finished, but I feel so vulnerable with these eyes on me that aren't ready yet. Should I delete the photo? Wait until it's perfect before posting again? Or should I ignore everyone's comments and finish up however I want to? Am I being paranoid about this or is there something wrong with how I approached sharing my art process online? What do you guys think?
