My Sibling's Stash Confusion

I can't believe I accidentally swapped my little sister's candy with her collection of rocks that she thought were 'special gems.' It was just so funny to watch her try and eat the pebbles, but now...now I'm kind of scared what will happen when she finds out about it. Did I ruin all her faith in me? And why do siblings keep these weird secrets from each other anyway?
