I Spilled Coffee on My Patient's Chart Today

Today at work, I accidentally spilled my morning coffee all over a patient’s chart. Analytically speaking, this wasn't just an accident; I was distracted by the frustration of another nurse who had been inconsiderate and left her station messy. The irony is that while I was trying to be meticulous with everything else around me, I let my emotions get the better of me. Now there’s a mess to clean up, paperwork to redo, and probably some annoyed patients waiting longer because their chart isn’t accessible. I’m pretty sure this won’t happen again, hopefully.
