I Broke My Mom's Phone on Purpose

Hey there, folks! So here’s a confession I’ve been holding in for way too long. Last month, my mom started going crazy with her phone use. She’d ignore us at dinner, during walks, everything. It was driving me nuts and making me feel like no one cared about me anymore except what was happening on that tiny screen. One night, when she was fast asleep, I got a little creative, I accidentally dropped it in water. I know, it’s petty, but seriously, the level of distraction from her always staring at it had to stop! Of course, now there’s the guilt and the bills for the repair or buying a new one looming over me. So here’s my question: Is this just how things are these days with technology? Or am I really in the wrong here?
