Grandma's Pet Peeve

I can’t stand it when kids talk back or don’t listen in stores. Yesterday, my grandchild was running around loudly and wouldn't stop even after I asked nicely several times. So, I told him he couldn't have any ice cream for the rest of his visit if things didn't calm down quick. It worked like a charm! Now, is this just me being strict, or do other grandparents feel similarly? What's your take?
