Not So Secret Anymore

It’s funny how secrets have this magical aura around them that makes them seem so powerful and impactful. But then one day, you accidentally let a slip of the tongue reveal your big secret to someone you least expected, like when I told my friend Alex in math class about liking Taylor behind her back. The worst part is that after the initial shock wore off, everyone seemed more intrigued than mad at me for being honest. Now it’s out there and I can’t take it back, and while a small part of me feels relieved that the burden is gone, another part just wants to crawl into a hole until it all blows over.
