a tiny fib at work

ok so like i work as a nurse at this little clinic and honestly i dont mind the job but there are these two coworkers who just drive me bonkers. one is super nosey, always asking about my life, trying to be friendly but it gets on my nerves cuz i dont wanna tell her everything in detail. the other one never talks unless hes talking business and its like pulling teeth getting anything out of him. but lately theyve been making fun of me for taking longer lunch breaks than most of us are supposed to take, which is a tiny lie because honestly i dont use that extra time for myself but i do need some space sometimes. my shift starts early in the morning and i just cant handle getting up as early as everyone else here lol. so one day, i was caught taking an extra long lunch break and they asked if i had gone to a spa or something fancy like that. i laughed it off and said yeah, totally went for some self-care and got a massage. the truth is i just needed a few quiet moments away from everyone else, maybe took a walk or read a book. i know its silly but i felt kinda bad afterwards cuz they were so surprised by my fib that they forgot about making fun of me taking long lunches. but still, it wasnt exactly a lie in spirit because if you could have seen how much i needed that break, you might say the same thing too. it feels petty to admit but its something ive struggled with for a while now.
