I Never Thought I'd Say This About My Job

So, uh, yep. Here's a weird thing about me and my job at this quaint little bakery, ever since they put in that stupid new point-of-sale system with all these fancy bells and whistles (seriously, who uses half of them?), I've become obsessed with hacking into the system to change things up for fun. Like, changing the price of a bagel from 2 dollars to $99 or making it so you have to swipe your card twenty times just to buy a cupcake. It's like my own little rebellion against corporate efficiency. And let me tell you, watching people’s faces when they see their order and then the prices, priceless. But yea, I'm kind of a tech rebel at heart, I guess. Always have been since I got that first computer with dial-up in middle school. It's funny how old-school things can make us nostalgic while newer stuff just makes me want to break the rules. Like why do they even need all this complicated system when we used to manage everything on paper and it was fine? Am I really the only one who thinks that way? Anyway, back to my confession, I'm still a bit giddy every time I pull off another 'hack' (even though no real damage is done) and then quickly fix it before anyone notices. It's my little secret and rebellion against efficiency overload.
