Feeling Forgotten

Sometimes I feel like a ghost in my own home, even though I’m there all day every day. The kids are off to school and work, the phone doesn’t ring much anymore, and when friends drop by it's always for just a moment before they have to dash off again. Today, while folding laundry, I found an old letter from college days hidden in my closet. It was like meeting someone from long ago who had no place left in my busy schedule now. I miss the days when life felt fuller and relationships felt more tangible.
