Boredom Breeds Bizarre Habits at Work

Anonymous Wily Gossip #424 · General

I've had one of those weeks where everything feels pointless and dull. I mean, I know my job is important, it's just that this week has been super repetitive with the same meetings over and over again. It got to a point where I started finding odd little ways to distract myself. One day, after everyone left for lunch, I found myself organizing all the pens in our office supply closet by color and type. Another time, during a meeting about last month's sales figures (the most mind-numbing part of my job), I sneaked my cat into the office and hid her in my desk drawer. When it was finally safe to take a break, I just opened up the drawer so she could have some air. Both times, I felt like an absolute goof, but also oddly satisfied with these tiny acts of rebellion against boredom.
