My Little Lie to Skip Class

So here’s this thing I did the other day that I’m still kind of grappling with. I was supposed to have a test in my history class, and let’s just say it wasn’t going well. The night before, I had planned on studying but ended up binge-watching some silly TV show instead. When morning came, I knew there was no way I could pull off taking that exam after cramming all night long. So what did I do? Well, I texted my best friend, Sam, and asked if they could take a picture of their test with the answers filled in and send it to me. It felt wrong at first, but honestly, there were too many things tempting me that day, like catching up on my favorite series online or just getting more sleep, and taking the test seemed like such a drag compared to all that. Now I’m sitting here wondering if I should tell the professor what happened. Sure, it was only one little lie, but it’s still there in my mind eating away at me. Part of me feels relieved and thinks maybe no one will ever know, while another part is worried this could come back to bite me later on.
