I Gave Up My Bedroom to My Little Brother

When our parents announced they were moving my little brother into the spare bedroom and kicking me out of mine, I felt like crying. They said it was because he needed his own space since he's starting middle school next year. But really, they just liked him better. I moved all my stuff to my old room that hasn't been used in years. It has a tiny window with bars on it and only one light bulb hanging from the ceiling. I know it sounds silly but I miss having my own place. The walls are crumbling in this old attic space, like some horror movie set. I didn't tell anyone how upset I was because everyone says it's best for my brother. But deep down, I'm still pretty hurt.
