sibling stuff is hard sometimes

so my older sis always got more attention growing up and she was just the all-around better at everything like grades sports friends etc it was really tough to compete with that i felt so behind all the time even when i did good on tests or whatever no one paid me any mind cause they were already focusing on her accomplishments. but anyway last year i finally got this big project done in school which was a huge deal for me, i worked super hard and it got me some really great grades and teacher recognition. my sis was over at our place that day but she totally ignored what i did and just started talking about how awesome her own work is and how much praise she gets. i tried to talk to mom and dad but they were too busy to notice or care. i felt so seen through and super small like nothing i do matters. it's not fair, im still my parents kid even if im not as impressive or anything. now i feel bad telling anyone about what happened cause sis might hear and get mad at me for airing our family business or something. but honestly i just needed to say this somewhere
