new hobby, same old lies

just started knitting like a month ago and i totally love it. it's so relaxing and keeps my hands busy while binge watching netflix but here's the thing. i told everyone in my knitting group that i used to be in a yarn club at school back when i was younger and even won some prizes. yeah right, that never happened. i've always been terrible at crafts and stuff like that so lying about it kinda sucks, but hey, if keeping up this story means more free patterns and supplies from the knitting group, then so be it. guess i'll have to keep pretending until i actually get better at this whole craft thing.
