i overthink everything

so i was on my lunch break today and this patient from the am shift came into the cafeteria. we work different rotations but weve been hanging out a lot lately. i just dont know why. she’s nice, sure, but like, do i actually want to be friends with her or is it just some kind of workplace camaraderie thing? i was thinking about asking her if she wants to grab coffee after my shift one day but then im worried shes already hanging out with other nurses and feels weird saying yes. why am i such a mess over this? i mean, its not like anything romantic is happening or anything. it just seems silly that a simple lunch date could be stressing me out so much.
