Lied About My Homework

I lied to my professor this week because I didn't want him to know I forgot my homework. When he asked if I had it with me during class, I said I left it in the car and would bring it tomorrow. But really, I just hadn’t done it at all. It’s silly, but I felt so guilty about admitting such a small thing that I told this blatant lie. Now every time I see him, I worry he knows what I’m thinking.
