Freelance Work Distraction

I'm a freelance writer who works from home. Lately, I've noticed an unexpected distraction that consistently pulls me away from my tasks: my cat. She has this habit of suddenly appearing and rubbing against my legs with her velvety soft fur. It's so irresistible that I find myself stopping mid-sentence to watch her play or just cuddle up beside me. The other day, I had a tight deadline for an important project, but there she was purring away on the keyboard right when I needed to focus most. Despite trying to maintain boundaries by setting aside specific times for her company and keeping my workspace separate from our lounging areas, I still catch myself frequently checking in on her during work hours. It's funny how something so small can have such a big impact.
