When I Took My Roommate's Food for the Finals Cram Session...

So here's a story that may not make me look too great in retrospect, but it felt necessary at the time. It was finals week last semester and as usual, all of my friends and I were scrambling to study as much as possible while also trying to survive on minimal sleep and snacks. My roommate, Lily... she had this habit of constantly having these big tubs of hummus with all sorts of veggies and chips around... which is usually great because I love that stuff too. But at the time, it was finals week, and I felt like a bottomless pit when it came to snacking while studying... Anyway, one evening, after staying up until 2 AM to memorize my way through the psychology textbook (seriously, how many lobes does a brain have anyway?), I woke up with this sudden craving. Only problem? The fridge was practically empty except for some wilted lettuce and an orange... and Lily's tubs of deliciousness were nowhere to be found. I knew she had mentioned something about going out to get groceries, but there was no way I could wait until morning to start studying again after such a short nap. So... I did the only thing that came to mind: I snuck into her side of the room and grabbed what looked like a fresh new tub from one of her drawers... I thought I got away with it too, just wolfing down half of it while cramming some history notes in between bites (seriously, can you believe they want us to remember every single ruler and date?). But then... the next morning, Lily came back with a bag full of snacks but no new hummus. When she found out what happened... well, let's just say I got an earful about respecting her personal property and studying boundaries... So yeah, maybe not my finest moment, but it was finals week, okay? And sometimes you do desperate things to get through them.
