Stuck in My Head

So yeah, I've been stuck on this one old song from like three years ago. It's not even a good song, honestly, but it's just there in my head all the time. Every time I'm studying for that super important physics exam or trying to write an essay, there it is, 'Popcorn,' by Lemon Demon. It's so frustrating because half of me thinks I should just let it go and focus on what I need to do, but the other half can't help replaying every lyric in my head like a broken record. And then sometimes when I'm in the middle of a conversation with friends, they'll say something that reminds me of one line from the song and suddenly there goes all my attention, right out the window. Today I even dreamed about it! Like, why can't I just let this go? It's such a silly thing to be so hung up on, but here we are. Maybe once finals are over and I have some free time, I'll give myself permission to listen to all those songs from back then and maybe that will help me move on. But until then, it's just going to keep playing in my mind like a constant hum.
