I Lied About the Gum Stash

Today at work, I found this huge stash of free gum under a register. It was like hitting the jackpot. But then my manager walked by and asked if we had any extra gum to give out since it’s been so busy. Instead of telling her about the hidden treasure, I fibbed that we were out. I know, super small potatoes. But hey, those pieces of gum are mine now, stashed away in a Tupperware container under my desk for emergencies. Now every time I chew one, I feel like a total fraud.
