i overcharged someone today

today i had this one customer who was super stressed and seemed like they were running late for something important. so when they asked for a coffee with an extra shot, i wanted to be extra helpful and friendly, you know? so i made the drink but then charged them twice as much as it should have been because of some mixup. they didn’t notice though, paid and rushed off without even looking at the receipt. i felt bad about it afterwards but honestly, their stress seemed like something a free coffee might help with. i guess sometimes being nice means bending the rules a bit? don’t tell my boss tho lol.
