Worst Study Buddy Ever

So I've been working my butt off for this big econ exam coming up next week. Every night I hit the books at 8 PM sharp, and by midnight, I’m pretty sure I’ve memorized every chart in the textbook. But what do you think happens when I get online to message my group study buddy, Alex? Yeah, he’s gaming away like it's his final exam in Mario Kart or something. I mean, come on, is this a real way to take your education seriously? We were supposed to go over the supply and demand graph, but all I hear back from him are these cryptic messages like 'BRB' and 'TTFN.' BRB? Like what am I supposed to do, wait here impatiently while you finish up that last level? I’ve been trying my hardest to stay on track. Last week, I even resorted to downloading an app just to block gaming websites during study time! But it’s hard when the guy sitting next to me is hitting the ‘end call’ button with such enthusiasm for every group video chat we have. Anyway, here's to hoping that somehow my sheer determination will make up for his lack of commitment. Or maybe I’ll just get lucky on the test and hope Alex isn’t there to bail out our whole study group.
