My Big Lie About My Homework

Okay, so here’s the deal. I’m the youngest in my family, and everyone expects me to be perfect, smart, diligent, never causing trouble. But one day, I had a massive crush on this guy from school who was sitting right next to me during math class. We were supposed to finish our homework at home and bring it back the next day. I was so distracted by staring at him that I didn’t do a single problem! So when my mom asked me about my homework, instead of telling her I stared at crush boy all night, I said I did everything but accidentally left it on the bus. Big fib, right? But hey, I’m young and I just couldn't face admitting to missing out because of lovey-dovey daydreaming. My sister already knows about this now that we’ve talked about it, so yeah, I'm not exactly proud, but there’s no shame in being human.
