I'm Not Always So Honest With My Parents...

Hey there, everyone! I’m the youngest sibling in my family... which means I often feel like I have to be super responsible and perfect all the time... because apparently that’s what younger kids are supposed to do. But one day last week? Well, let's just say I skipped a big chunk of homework to play a new video game instead.... My parents were about to ask me how it was going, so here’s where my “creative honesty” kicked in: I told them I’d already finished and put the notes away before coming home... but I cleverly left out the part about them being in the trash can under my bed. Yeah, not exactly Nobel Prize-worthy material there.... Now every time they ask me about homework or chores, I get this feeling like the cops are watching, and maybe they’ll discover those shredded remains of my responsibility anytime now......But hey, at least I enjoyed a few hours of fun before the guilt started kicking in.....
