The Great Birthday Prank Gone Horribly Right

My sister turned fifteen last month, and my parents went all out for her birthday. They rented a fancy party venue, hired entertainers, and invited every single one of her classmates. It was the kind of party where everything is meticulously planned and nothing can go wrong. Or so they thought. As the oldest sibling, I've had my fair share of these kinds of parties growing up. My sister's were always over the top, filled with too many decorations, too much cake, and too many rules. This time around, she wanted a dance party with a DJ, but Mom insisted on live music and an open mic for singing performances. Feeling annoyed by the whole affair, I decided to take matters into my own hands. The night before her party, I snuck out to pick up a box of 30 rolls of toilet paper from the local store. By the time everyone arrived at noon the next day, there was not an inch of that venue left unpapered. I thought she'd be upset or embarrassed by my little rebellion, but surprisingly, she found it hilarious and ended up having a blast with her friends unraveling the toilet paper to make decorations instead. They even took pictures and put them all over social media later as a memory of the day. Looking back now, I regret nothing. Even though Mom gave me an earful for my antics, seeing how happy it made both my sister and her friends was worth every scolding. Plus, that party turned out to be the talk of the school for weeks afterward.
