The Night I Spilled Drinks and Lied

So last Thursday night at work, there was this drunk guy causing a scene. I didn't want to kick him out because it's always messy, but then he started throwing drink orders around like it was no big deal. Of course, I ended up spilling all over someone else’s table in the chaos. And guess who had to cover for me and clean up? Yeah, my best friend at work took one for the team. It’s not like I lied to her face or anything; I just didn’t mention it when she offered to take the shift if I was too tired to stay late. Now I feel terrible for leaving her in the lurch and ruining someone else's night.
