Old Habits Die Hard

So I've been trying really hard to cut down on my sweets lately. You know, for all those reasons we hear about, health, energy levels, sugar crashes and whatnot. But yesterday? Let me tell you, I ended up at the corner store around 9 PM buying every kind of candy bar they had left in stock. Why? Because it was raining outside, so there were no distractions like walking the dog or having coffee with a friend. And all that quiet time got me thinking... about my childhood, back when sweets felt like a daily reward for being good and surviving another day. It's kind of funny how something as simple as rain could trigger such an old habit. I mean, am I still living in 1975 or what? Now I've got all these chocolate bars staring at me from the kitchen counter, they look guilty too! Maybe it’s time to just accept that some habits are stubbornly persistent and stop beating myself up over them.
